Bob went up against 4 Massey 1655's for the month of September and pulled out with the win. It has caused quite the controversy as we are now thinking about having lego and origami attachments in the mix. Congrats to Bob for winning tractor of the month for September. ...

Restoring old tractors (garden type or full-size farming equipment) presents the restorer with many challenges. Not so different from automotive or aircraft restorations, certain little tricks-of-the-trade are learned along the way which every restorer should have in their basket of tricks. The older a restoration subject is, the harder at times it is to locate a suitable "show-quality" part to complete the restoration. Sometimes you simply don't have a choice but to restore the part you have in hand because a replacement just simply does not exist.

Back in April I was offered a chance to have a Panzer GT given to me if I were to restore one for a friend of my fathers. Trust me when I say nothing in life is free, I am a living testament to that. In the process of getting the friends and mine home, Dad suggested (strongly at 75 years of age ) while you're doing his do mine. So now 2 became 3. Then Dad says "and by the way son, the friend needs his before the first Monday of August for a county fair and tractor show".

Its a 1979 Bolens 1220. Not alot of story behind it. I bought it not running with the deck and snow caster, for 300.00. It needed the magneto. So i went to local junk yard got some parts and converted it to a GM HEI ignition. After I had it running I cleaned it up and threw on some paint.Became addicted at that point. I now have 2 1220's 2 tillers, 1snowblower,1 plow blade, 2 decks, and im looking at a 1050 with a tiller and snow blower. I use this to mow my yard and have had verry few problems. I think it does a great job mowing pic attached.

My grandpa bought this Ford LGT 145 new. A few years after he passed away and when I got married and needed a mower I was given the ford. I used it to mow for a few years and now it's my work horse. It gets used to pull thing, plow the driveway in the winter, I plowed the garden with it this spring and it did a great job.

I want to start off by saying that we got to meet a lot of nice people and we especially want to thank the Wheel Horse Collectors Club for having us at the show. We also want to thank directly Charlie Culley, Jeff Kane, Don Kane, William "Wild Bill" Pearson. There are a lot of dedicated people working to make this show what it is. There were a lot of tractors there and an unbelievable amount of parts.

This is my dad's Bolens 1053 that I recently restored in the summer of 2009. I first started by taking it apart piece by piece until it didn't even look like it could be a tractor anymore. Once I had it torn down I proceeded with sandblasting every single piece. There wasn't a single piece that wasn't bare metal till I was finished. I then painted it and assembled everything back together as well as went over the motor, replaced the gaskets and rebuilt the carb. The wheels still need finished but she fires right off now even after sitting for a month or two. ...

This is my MF "2055"...a customized MF1650. Chopped & dropped frame to align a 20hp Onan for direct transmission drive. Power steering added, 26x12x12 rears, MF14 hood, dash, & grill. I use this for tilling, 3pt blade work, and pulling trailer. The loader frame is off it now, and a couple other small changes, but basically the same. Custom aluminum fuel tank.

We want to thank the folks at Cumberland Valley Antique Engine and Machinery for having us at this years spring show. The show was held April 24th to the 25th 2010 with a consignment sale that was on Friday the 23rd. We setup our tent at the entrance to the tractor show which worked out great for us because that is where the tractor parade also lined up to start. I also want to thank my Dad for going with and helping out and we also took his Bolens 600 with his newly acquired sleeve hitch and moldboard plow.

Despite the cooler then normal temps and a storm that went through Friday night they had a tremendous showing for the 5th annual PA Plow Day in Danville, PA. We had 80+ degree weather on Friday leading to some big storms that went through Friday night and brought the cold front with it. It was chilly, high 40's maybe low 50's and the wind was blowing a lot. We were still able to get about 70+ pictures and some videos of the gt lovers out there plowing as well as a walk by of the tractors on display for the show.

When I found this Massey it had no engine or wheels on it. I figured I wasn't hurting anything by customizing it. I use 6.70x15 ag tires mounted on Dodge caravan spare tire rims for the back tires. The Dodge rims have the right 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern. I used 4.00x6 tri ribs for the fronts. It scales out pretty well and makes a neat conversation piece at tractor shows. Of my custom built tractors this is my favorite. Hope you like it.

Here are a couple of pictures of our " his and hers" panzers. I found the first one, a 1965 T-75 and rebuilt it. It is the one with the white steering wheel. My wife said she liked the way it looked and she wanted one to! Never passing up on a reason to buy another tractor I looked for quite a while to find a second Panzer tractor near Wisconsin. ...

I bought it as a rusty bucket with plans to restore it. After 3 years of work I finished the restoration. I use it to plow, throw snow, till, haul wood and just about everything except mow. It might look like a trailer queen, but I use it hard.

This is the second narrow front tractor I built. I used 15 inch Dodge caravan spare tire rims with 6.70x15 ag tires on them. This raises the tractor enough that you can put the narrow front on them and still have the tractor sit level. The B-10 has a heavy plate bolted under the engine to help support the frame and front end so I used one of these plates to weld my narrow front end to. ...
